Dorothy L. Spece, 80, of Tampa, FL, formerly of Honey Brook, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023 at the Suncoast Hospice Care Center in Palm Harbor, FL.
She was born in Honey Brook, PA on May 6, 1943. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Russell and Katherine (Brubaker) Thompson. She was the wife of the late Theodore J. (Ted) Spece, who died on November 14, 1991.
She was a retired clerk at the Chester County Sheriff’s Office in West Chester. Dorothy attended the Honey Brook Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening at her home and visiting with her granddaughter.
Dorothy is survived by a son, Nathan Z. Spece, two brothers, Russell Thompson and Raymond Thompson, three sisters, Dawn Cone, Dolores Stillman and DeAnna Stoudt and a granddaughter, Madelyn Spece.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 3 PM from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa. Interment will follow at the Honey Brook Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
