Elizabeth L. “Betty” Kirk, 89 years of Morgantown, died on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center in Narvon.
She was born in Millcreek Township, Lebanon County, Pa. on June 24, 1933. Betty was the daughter of the late Howard W. and Hattie (Schearer) Yawn. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Kirk, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage.
Betty spent 30 years working with her husband at their farm and retail store in Honey Brook, Pa. Tobi Hill Farm was widely known and loved by many. She later worked several years at Nell’s Shurfine Market in East Berlin, Pa. as manager of the seafood department.
Betty enjoyed spending time outdoors taking photographs of nature, flowers, and family. She loved gardening and had a passion for books and reading.
She was preceded in death by a son, William H. Kirk, and a brother, Howard R. Yawn.
Betty is survived by a son, Thomas H. and his wife Patricia Kirk of Morgantown, and a granddaughter, Emily Kirk.
A private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
