Arlene C. Stevens Leete, 97

Arlene C. Stevens Leete, 97, of Honey Brook, PA, a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother died peacefully August 31, 2023, at her home at Tel Hai Retirement Community.

Born in Beverly, MA, on April 17, 1926, Mrs. Leete was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Lynn, MA, and became a licensed professional hairdresser.  She married her late husband of 60 years, Bernard D. Leete, in 1949 in Lynn, MA.  She moved to Newtown Square, PA, in 1965 due to her husband’s job transfer within General Electric Co.  They enjoyed spiritual growth and service as well as lifelong friendships at the First Baptist Church of Newtown Square.

In 1991, she and her husband moved to the Tel Hai Retirement Community in Honey Brook, PA.  Their many years in the Tel Hai community allowed them not only to continue with many of the friendships they had developed in Newtown Square but also provided additional close and dear friends.  They were active members of the Evangelical Free Church (now BLCC) of Elverson, PA.  During her 32+ years at Tel Hai, she was an active volunteer and enjoyed swimming, baking, gardening, walking, sewing, and quilting. 

Arlene C. Stevens Leete is the daughter of the late Barak L. Stevens and Dorothy S. Stevens.

She is preceded in death by her husband (of 60 years), her parents and her sister Faye S. Dyer.

Survivors include daughters, Nancy L. Gries (Gary) of King of Prussia, PA, and Martha L. Brandow (Wayne) of Franklin, NC; son Roger D. Leete (Connie) of Lynn Haven, FL; 7 grandchildren; 3 step-granddaughters; 13 great-grandchildren.

Service:  11 AM, Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at the Tel Hai Chapel, 2100 Tel Hai Circle, Honey Brook, PA.  Private Burial at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA.
