William M. Hughes, 85 years, of Morgantown, died on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013 at his home.
He was born in Honey Brook, Pa. on Feb. 1, 1927. William was the son of the late M. William and Ellen (March) Hughes. He was the husband of the late Muriel D. (Messner) Hughes, who died on June 18 of this year.
William was the former owner of the Penquinn in Mt. Airy. He was a US Navy Veteran, serving during WWII and was member of the American Legion, VFW, and Am. Vets. William enjoyed antiques, fishing, yard work and gardening.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Ivy Bernard of Honey Brook, Eve Sagner of Narvon and Ava Hilton of Reading. There are 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 at 1 PM from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa. A private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
