James F. “Jim” Linn, 84 years, of Narvon, formerly of Havertown, died on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Zerbe Sisters Nursing Home, following an illness.
He was born on December 26, 1929 in Drexel Hill, Pa. Jim was the son of the late James F. and Emma (Mayer) Linn. He was the husband of the late Rhoda L. (Riebsamen) Linn, who died on April 6, 2011.
Jim was a chief clerk for Philadelphia Electric/Peco for over 36 years. He was a member of Bethany Collegiate Presbyterian Church in Havertown and attended California Evangelical Congregational Church in Morgantown.
Surviving are 2 sons, James F. Jr. and his wife Marianne Linn of Gaithersburg, MD and Edward Clayton “Ed” Linn of Narvon, and an aunt, Amanda Mayer of Boyertown. There are 3 grandchildren, Joanna, James F. III, and Jonathan.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 11 AM from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, with Pastor Charles Walker officiating. A private interment will be held at the Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
