Raymond A. Yoder Raymond A. Yoder, 83 yrs., of Honey Brook, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the home of his sister, while under the loving care of his family and hospice.

He was born in Churchtown on Jan. 20, 1934.  Raymond was the son of the late Christian B. and Emma (Sweigart) Yoder.  He was the husband of the late Lillian “Skip” (Amole) Yoder, who died March 25, 2005.

Raymond was a truck driver for Erb Transport and Mast Farms.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pequea.  Raymond was a veteran of the US Army.   He enjoyed gardening at his home.

He was preceded in death by a son, Raymond A. Yoder, Jr., and a brother, John Allen Yoder.

Raymond is survived by two daughters, Nancy Yoder of Honey Brook and Brenda Woodward of Coatesville, a brother, Ken Yoder of East Earl, and three sisters, Anna Mae Martin of Ephrata, Kathryn Clark of Parkesburg and Irma Holmes of Peach Bottom.   There are three grandchildren, Kelly, Tony and Matthew Woodward and a great grandson Doug Bowman.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 11 AM from First Baptist Church of Pequea, 6062 Old Philadelphia Pike, Gap. Pa.  17525, with Pastor Patrick Audia officiating.   Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery.  A calling hour will be held from 9:30 to 11 AM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Raymond to the Yoder family to help with the funeral expenses.

Ray was such a great guy and an excellent employee! We will all miss that gentle giant. Our condolences to the family. Sorry I could not attend the funeral, was out of town.

Dear Neighbors, I was sorry to read of Raymond"s death in the newspaper. I'll be thinking of your family laying your oldest brother to rest. I know your family lived near us during our school years at Conestoga and Smoketown. I remember our playhouses in the woods between us, these are good memories. God bless, Ruthann Weiler Zook
