Larry C. Martin, Sr., 78 years, of Elverson, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at the Brandywine Hospital, following an illness.
Larry was born on May 22, 1938 in Fritztown, Berks Co. He was the son of the late Carl and Margaret (Fields) Martin. Larry was the husband of Marvienne F. (L’Heureux) Martin, with whom he would have shared 58 years of marriage on his birthday.
He was a blaster for the former Grace Mines of Morgantown and then later with the Warren Gettle Company. Larry loved to hunt and fish in Sullivan County.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Winn and four brothers.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Larry C. Jr. (Karen) Martin of Reading, a daughter, Lori A. Stevens of Elverson, two brothers, Allen and Jim Martin, and three sisters, Patricia, Connie and Deborah. There are seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 1 PM from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa., Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
