Betty M. Kauffman, 84 yrs., of Morgantown, died on Thursday, May 18 2017 at the Zerbe Sisters Nursing Home, following an illness.
She was born in Caernarvon Twp., Berks, Co. on March 9, 1933. Betty was the daughter of the late Oscar W. and Grace (Groff) Byler. She was the wife of M. Glenn Kauffman, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.
Betty was a homemaker to her beloved family. She enjoyed fishing, boating and camping on trips to Lewes, Delaware. Betty was a member of the former Morgantown United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Jean Shirk.
Betty is survived by a son, Larry (Deb) Kauffman of Elverson and a sister, Grace Arlene Pauling of Morgantown. There are two grandsons, Patrick and Conner Kauffman.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 11 AM at The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa., with Pastor Coleen Painter officiating. Interment will follow at the Caernarvon Cemetery. A calling hour will be held one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Betty to The Elverson United Methodist Church, 32 East Main Street, Elverson, Pa. 19520.
