William R. Longacre, age 82, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, died at home on Monday, May 22, 2017.
William was born on July 24, 1934, at Women's Medical Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late William and Mae Longacre. On September 11, 1954, he was united in marriage to Dolores K. Maiden at Saint Bridget’s Catholic Church in East Falls, Pennsylvania. William served in the Navy Reserves for 8 years followed by a 25-year long career at Mobile Corporation until his retirement in 1999.
William is survived by his children, Marlene, Michael, William and Scott and their spouses; his granddaughters, Dana, Michelle, Kerry and their spouses; his grandsons, Matthew, Michael, Brandon, Scott, Nicholas, Tyler and William and their spouses; his 11 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Alice, Joan, Joseph and Maryanne.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dolores, his sibling, Lois, and two
great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for William R. Longacre will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, May 30, at The Labs Funeral Home, 141 Pequea Ave, Honey Brook, PA 19344.
