Doris Ella Gottier, 81 yrs., of Chester Springs, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Seasons Hospice in Phoenixville, following an illness.
She was born on January. 23, 1936 in Phoenixville. Doris was the daughter of the late John Putman and Rita Irene (Zuilla) Smith. She was the wife of the late Richard J. Gottier, who died on Febuary. 2, 2017.
Doris was a homemaker to her beloved family.
Doris was preceded in death by a brother, Donald A. Smith and a sister, Flora Trego.
She is survived by two sons, Andrew D. and Russell A. Gottier, a daughter, Terri J. Mulberry, two brothers, William E. and Ronald D. Smith, and three sisters, Rita Ann Wesler, Mildred E. Gerringer, and Shirley Harp. There are 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 7 PM from the Hopewell Community Church, 1130 Commerce Drive, Pottstown, Pa. 19464. Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
