Robert H. Palmer, 86 yrs, of Honey Brook, formerly of West Chester and Elverson, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at The Meadows Healthcare Center at the Tel Hai Retirement Community, following an illness.

He was born in Ridley Twp., Delaware Co., Pa. on Saturday, April 2, 1932. Robert was the son of the late John and Rose A. (Forster) Palmer.   He was the husband of Jean R. (Dougherty) Palmer, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. 

Robert was a customer engineer for IBM for 30 years.  He was in the US Navy, during the Korean War.  Robert enjoyed being a ham radio operator, building model airplanes, and traveling to England doing ancestral research and meeting family members. 

He was preceded in death by a brother, Dean W. Palmer. 

Surviving in addition to his wife are six nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11 AM from the Chapel of the Tel Hai Retirement Community, 2100 Tel Hai Circle, Honey Brook, Pa., with Pastor Tim Herr officiating.   The family will receive friend staring at 10:30 AM in the chapel.   Interment will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Robert to the Tel Hai Care Assurance Fund, PO Box 190, Honey Brook, Pa.  19344-0190.
