He is truly the last of the original merchants in Kimberton where I grew up. My dad ran the village fix-it shop at Kimberton and Prizer Road. Back in the 1960's, I have fine memories of Joe's market, Mauger's Hardware, Mr. Ireet, the pharmacist, of course Mike Jugan, and the train station of the Valley Forge Scenic Railroad. Mr. Mauger won my respect by the way he treated my dad, Francis Wood. It was a very special community and a great place to grow up in and he was very much a part of it.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Alan, he was truly a wonderful person. I met him and his wife when she first came down to healthcare and we hit it off. I always enjoyed listening to his stories and his jokes lol. Even if after the passing of Marian he would still come down to visit with me whenever I worked, he always took pride in his family. He will truly be missed, my prayers are with you and your family

First my sincere sympathy to Betsy and Family and to Bud and Family and my father G. Eugene Mauger and all of my family. Uncle Allan will be very well remembered by me as his sense of humor was fantastic and his love if wood and the hardware business was awesome. I remember when Uncle Allan, Aunt Marion and Cousins Bill and Betsy , Bud was not here at that time living on Crest Ave. In Malvern, when Betsy won the Pony because she sent in a name for it V.I.P. very important pony and Uncle Allan leading the Pony around with Bill and Betsy. Then moving to Kimberton and opening the Mauger s Hardware and I had a crush on my Cousin Bill back then There we cousins were all initials B. M. , then my baby sister Bev came along then Bud. Well so many wonderful memories , so in my heart I will cherish all of those memories. Uncle Allan you will be missed but I know you will R.I.P. So fly high.uncle, I love you always.
