Irmhild “Edie” Terzija,, 79 yrs., of Pottstown, formerly of Honey Brook and Philadelphia, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018 at the ER of the Pottstown Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Greifswald, Germany on Sept. 8, 1939. Edie was the daughter of the late Paul and Gertrud Roehrdanz. She was the wife of the late Jovan “John” Terzija, who died on August 18, 2011.
Edie worked as a bookkeeper for the auto repair service center that she and her late husband owned. She enjoyed reading and cooking. Edie was Lutheran by her faith.
Surviving are twin daughters, Kristine and her husband Marc Simmons of Coventry and Sabine and her husband Markus Weiss of Germany. There are three grandchildren, Leo, Madeleine, and Maya.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 at 2 PM from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa. Interment will follow at the Honey Brook Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Edie to American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Road, Suite # 150, Blue Bell, Pa. 19422.
