Dorothy M. DiGiacomo, 88 yrs., of Honey Brook, formerly of Aldan, Delaware County, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018 at the Brandywine Hospital.
She was born on Sept. 22, 1930 in Philadelphia. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Torquato and Rose (Spina) Macchiavelli. She was the wife of the late Gabriel “Gabe” DiGiacomo, who died on April 21, 2010.
Dorothy was a homemaker to her beloved family. She was member of St. Peter Catholic Church in West Brandywine and former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Collingdale. Dorothy enjoyed time with her family, collecting dolls, and online chat rooms talking about music.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph and a sister Florence “Flossy”.
She is survived by her three sons, Joseph DiGiacomo of Coatesville, Salvatore DiGiacomo Honey Brook and Gabriel DiGiacomo of Morgantown, and a sister, Carol Kobryn of Delaware. There are nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 2835 Manor Road, West Brandywine, Pa. 19320. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the mass at the church.
