Irja E. “Molly” Keeler, 92 yrs., of Morgantown, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at TowerHealth/Reading Hospital and Medical Center, following an illness.
Molly was born in Viipuri, Finland and was the daughter of the late Juho H. and Selma (Koppomen) Laaitikainen. She was the wife of the late John A. Keeler, who died in June of 1999.
Molly and her late husband were the owners and operators of the Old Village Inn of Morgantown for over 55 years.
She is preceded in death by a sister and two brothers
Molly is survived by 3 sons: Lawrence P. Kase of Billings, MT, Brian G. (Alice) Kase of Elverson, John M. Keeler of Morgantown, a daughter Marjatta S. (George) Batastini of Flying Hills. There are 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her cat Topi.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 9, 2019 at 2PM from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa., with Rev. Scott Stevenson officiating. Interment will be held at Caernarvon Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 12 to 2 PM from the funeral home.
