Helen M. Yocum, 70 years, of Honey Brook, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at her home, following an illness.
She was born in West Chester on Monday, September 27, 1948. Helen was the daughter of the late Charles Sr. and Helen (Melnick) Broschard. She was the life partner of Ricky W. Freidly for over 30 years.
Helen worked for many years at Kraft Bus Company while her boys were young before starting her career at Smalls Formal Wear of West Chester, where she worked as an administrative assistant. She also managed a housing community in Honey Brook, PA before retiring.
During her retirement she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, crafting and her dogs. She attended Messiah Lutheran Church in Downingtown.
She is survived by two sons, Chris and his wife Candace Lichtner of Thorndale and Erich and his wife Dawn Lichtner of Downingtown, a step son Eric Freidly of Bel Air, MD and a brother Charles Broschard, Jr. of West Chester. There are four grandchildren; Samantha, Taylor, Alivia and Alexis.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 2PM from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa. Interment will follow at the Northwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 2 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Helen to the Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Road, West Chester, Pa. 19380.
