Shirley H. Weidman

Shirley H. Weidman, 69 yrs., of Narvon, died on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at her home, following an illness.

She was born in Honey Brook on Sept. 14, 1949. Shirley was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Elizabeth R. (Hoopes) Plank. She was the wife of William Glenn Weidman, Sr. They would have shared 50 years of marriage on February 15th.

Shirley was a para-educator for 28 years with the Eastern Lancaster County School District. She was a girl scout and boy scout leader in Blue Ball for many years. Shirley was a lifetime member of the Honey Brook Fire Company, working with her family members at the carnival food stand, a volunteer at Historic Poole Forge, and a Twin Valley High School, Class of 1968, reunion event planner. She loved country music, hot rods, car shows and time with her beloved family.

Shirley was preceded in death by four siblings.

Surviving is a son, William Glenn Weidman, Jr. of Millersville, a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Kaufman of Phoenixville and seven siblings. There are two granddaughters, the love of her life, Quinn Alexandra Kaufman and Brittany Elizabeth Weidman.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Shirley to Sexual Assault Prevention and Counseling Center, C/o YWCA, 110 North Lime Street, Lancaster, Pa. 17602.

Aunt Shirley She loved it when you called to check in on her!! She was so thankful for just that little Grace . She did know the Lord loved her. Our family is sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. She served as a teacher's aide to two of our daughters and they always reme.berdd her.We also enjoyed her many recipes both in the Pool Forge cookbook and, online. She will be missed by many. Our thoughts are with you at this most difficult time.

I was a fellow classmate of Shirley, TV Class of 1968. She was instrumental in keeping the class reunions going faithfully over the years.
