Jimmy Gene Shepherd, Sr., 71 yrs., of Glenmoore, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019 at the Chester County Hospital, following an illness.

He was born on Nov. 16, 1947 in Smyth County, VA. Jimmy was the son of the late Ray and Viola (Walker) Shepherd. He was the husband of Wanda Joe (Haws) Shepherd, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage.

Jimmy was a machinist for over 40 years with B. E. Wallace Crane of Malvern. He attended Warwick Bile Chapel. Jimmy enjoyed the outdoor life, with hunting, fishing and time spend at his camp in the mountains of Virginia, as his favorite things to do.

He is survived in addition to his wife by two sons, Jimmy G. Shepherd, Jr. of Honey Brook and David L. Shepherd of Glenmoore, daughter, Beth Ann Shepherd of Parkesburg, three brothers, Jerry Shepherd of Lancaster, John Shepherd of Honey Brook, and Donnie Shepherd of Modena, and two sisters, Vickie Nunemaker and Lisa Shingle both of Honey Brook. There are three granddaughters, Brittany, Amanda, and Nina and 3 great grandchildren, Raven, Khalina, and Khalil.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 11 AM from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc. 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa. Interment will follow at the Elverson Methodist Cemetery. A calling hour will be held one hour prior to the service.

We are going to miss you Jimmy. You were always there for everyone. I'm so glad we got to see you not long ago and got a big hug and an I love you, and a please pray for me from you. I know there was a happy reunion in heaven when you got there. You are with your Mom and Dad now and the Lord who you dedicated your life too. We will always remember you-you were such a special person.
