Robert L. Nuse

Robert L. Nuse, Sr., 81 yrs., of Honey Brook, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 15, 2019 at his home.

He was born on Sept. 5, 1937. Robert was the son of the late Robert and Edna (Waltman) Nuse. He was the husband of Shirley J. (Ebersole) Nuse, with whom he would have shared 60 years of marriage on the 28th of this month.

Robert worked for both the Budd Company and Schnure Manufacturing. He was a member of the New Holland Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah Witness Congregation. Robert enjoyed hunting and woodworking.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, a brother, and a great granddaughter.

Robert is survived by two sons, Robert L. Nuse, Jr. of Philadelphia and Eric J. (Sherry) Nuse of Narvon, a daughter, Diane J. Gordy of Honey Brook, two brothers, Reese Nuse of Pa. and Horace James Nuse of Elverson, and six sisters, Linda Butler of Sadsburyville, Catherine Peters of Downingtown, Helen Dunlap, Peggy Chubb, Betty Nuse all of New Holland and Pat Boley of East Earl. There are five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 2 PM from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc. 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa., with Mr. Jeff Boyer officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 1 to 2 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Robert with a payment to Shirley Nuse to help defray the funeral expenses.

Bob was a second dad to me. growing up with Diane since we were 10 years old i became an "adopted" daughter. he allowed me to call him dad and also set me straight when i needed it. my heart breaks but i know he suffers no more and God has another angel. fly high with the angels and will see you again someday
