Violet E. Donaghue, 100 yrs., formerly of Honey Brook, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Regal Heights Nursing Home in Hockessin, Delaware, following an illness.
She was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on June 29, 1918. Violet was the daughter of the late Hugh and Rosena (Kane) Burton. She was the wife of the late William H. Donaghue, who died on Oct. 24, 2003.
Violet was a homemaker to her beloved family. She enjoyed travel, loved life and the people in her life. Violet lived in both Springfield and Exton, prior to moving to Honey Brook.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carole Holt and a brother and a sister.
Surviving is a son, Robert W. Donaghue of Forksville, Pa. and a son in law, William Holt of Wilmington, De. There are also grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 11 AM from the Honey Brook United Methodist Cemetery. There will be no calling hour or funeral home service.
