David C. "Pop" Dixon

David C. “Pop” Dixon, 77 yrs., of Gap, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019 at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, following an illness.

He was born on June 14, 1941 in Lancaster. David was the son of the late George and Esther (Dampman) Dixon.

Pop was a steel worker for over 40 years with Allegheny Steel and Lukens Steel. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, travel and yard sales.

David was preceded in death by his two brothers, George and Donald Dixon and a sister, Kathy Moore.

He is survived by three sons, David C. Dixon, Jr. of Morgantown, Damon C. Dixon and Darin S. Dixon both of Honey Brook. There are four grandchildren, Dylan, Delani, Drew and Deidre. Also, by his life partner, Jeanne Huyard of Gap and his former wife, Mary Ann Dixon of Cape Charles, Va.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 11 AM from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc. 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa. Interment will follow at the Honey Brook Methodist Cemetery. A calling hour will be held one hour prior to the service.

Dave was a good man he was like a grandfather to me and my sister and I'm so glad that my wife Kayla got to meet him before he passed when I heard the bad news I was upset but I'm glad that he's not in pain anymore I hope my grandmother Jeanne huyard can move on from this but I will be there every step of the way to help her because she is my grandmother and I love her ??
