William A. Root (Bill) formally of Parkesburg, passed away peacefully at his Honey brook home on April 9, 2019 surrounded by family and friends and his wife of 45 years.
Bill was the son of the late Robert Root, Sr. and Audrey Skiles. He is survived by his wife Susan Root of Honey Brook, 2 daughters; Stacy Hall wife of Ronald Hall of Enola, PA, Billie Sue Taylor wife of Steven Taylor of Honey Brook and one son Barry “Michael” Root of Parkesburg.
In addition to his wife and children he is survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters, 6 brothers, 3 sisters and a step-mother.
Preceded him in death is his infant son “Lil Bill”, a sister and her infant son, a step-father and grandparents.
A truck driver for 41 years, he traveled over a million miles and was loved by many. His wish was for no formal services but to remember him in your fondest memories.
