Estella S. Bachman, 93 yrs. of Honey Brook, died on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at her home, following an illness.

She was born in Coatesville on Dec. 13, 1925. Estella was the daughter of the late Lloyd H. and Alice Emma (Stanley) Skiles. She was the wife of the late Robert Clair Bachman, who died on July 11, 2001.

Estella was a graduate of the Millersville State Teacher’s College, Class of 1944. She was a schoolteacher at the Meadville one room schoolhouse in Eastern Lancaster County. Later, she served as the librarian at the Honey Brook Community Library. During WW II, she worked at the Stauffer Ammo Plant in West Nantmeal Twp., Chester County. Estella was a member of the Honey Brook United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and quilting.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Skiles and two sisters, Sara Shock and Virginia Spotts.

Estella is survived by three sons, Timothy R. Bachman of Yardley, Thomas L. Bachman of Honey Brook, and David L. Bachman of Palmyra. There are four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 11 AM from the Pequea Presbyterian Cemetery in Gap, Pa. There will be no funeral service or viewing.
