David L. "Dave" Supplee

David L. “Dave” Supplee,92 yrs. of Honey Brook, passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 at his home, while under the loving care of his family and hospice.

He was born in Salisbury Twp., Lancaster Co., Pa. on Thursday, January 27, 1927. David was the son of the late Grant and Anna (Guest) Supplee. He was the husband of Vera C. (Welsh) Supplee, with whom he shared 70 years of marriage.

David was a retired press operator. In retirement, David operated an Amish taxi service. He served in the US Merchant Marine, during WW II. David enjoyed bowling, Phillies baseball, hunting, travel and history.

He was preceded in death by seven brothers, Thomas, Laurence, Phillip, Ernest, Charles, Joseph and Benjamin and three sisters, Florence, Margaret and Alice.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Jeffrey Supplee of Exeter Twp., two daughters, Joyce Supplee of Honey Brook and Betty Smith of Parkesburg, and two sisters, Mary Crabtree of Phoenixville and Rebecca Lundgren of Reading. There are two grandchildren, Chad and Janice married to John Vrabel

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 2 PM from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc. 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa. Interment will follow at the Honey Brook United Methodist Cemetery. A calling hour will be held starting at 12:30 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of David to Compassus Hospice, 2 Campus Blvd., Suite # 200, Newtown Square, Pa. 19703.

I worked alongside Dave at Graco for many years. He was a kind and down to earth guy and a great friend. I'd like to extend my deepest sympathy to all who knew and loved him.
