Brenda, I am with the 5/60 Association - the unit Gary served with while in Vietnam. I was in Delta Co at the same time as Gary but in different platoons, so our paths only crossed occasionally. On behalf of 5th Battalion 60th Infantry of the 9th Infantry Division and veterans at large, we are saddened at your loss and will be praying for you and the family! Ron McCants

Hello Brenda. Truly sad news to all who knew, loved and appreciated Gary. Waburn Mills called to let me know and Rich Kane forwarded Gary's obituary to me. We all served w/Gary in Vietnam... I got a chance to see him again after many many years and meet you, too, at the 5/60 Reunion a few years back. I send you my condolences and know that 'The Kid' served his country well and served his God beyond reproach. He is certainly in heaven and waiting patiently until you and the rest of his family join him in the Light of God's presence. God bless you and all of your family... I will be praying for you.
