Theresa Emala Foose, 89, of Spring City, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019 at Seasons Hospice in Phoenixville. Theresa was born on October 9, 1930 in Shenandoah, PA She was a daughter of the late Matthew and Sophia (Dziedziak) Emala. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Foose, who died in 2017. She was preceded in death by her sister Geraldine Jacavage and her brothers, Thomas Emala and August Emala.
Theresa worked in food service at Owen J. Roberts School District, retiring from the Middle School Cafeteria. She also worked at Macy's in King of Prussia. Upon her retirement she loved to spend winters in AZ with SallyAnne and to escape the ice, snow and cold in PA
She enjoyed volunteering in her community and helping anytime she saw a need. She attended Ebenezer Bible Chapel
She was a member of the Ridge Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, the Civil Defense Director while they were building the Limerick Power Station and a Chester County Rape Crisis Counselor.
Raising five children brought her ample opportunities to be involved in their many and wide-ranging activities.
She is survived by her children. Robert J. (Beverly) Foose, Downingtown, PA, Matthew C. Foose, Pottstown, PA, Sophia M. (C. Wesley) Miller, Elverson, PA, Cynthia M. Yost , Pottstown, PA and SallyAnne Foose, Spring City, PA She has four grandchildren. Scott E. Yost, Diane Jerome, Clarence W. Miller, Alan Foose. She has a great granddaughter, Madalynn Yost, a great grandson, Nicholas Foose. and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her third great grandchild in March.
A memorial service is planned for January 18, 2020 at 11:00am at Ebenezer Bible Chapel, 289 Warwick Furnace Road, Elverson, PA, with Pastor Deane Boyd, officiating.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Schuylkill County.
