Gladys K. Mosteller, 93 yrs., of Honey Brook, formerly of Spring City, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Tel Hai Retirement Community.

She was born on Monday, November 22, 1926 in Elverson, Pa. Gladys was the daughter of the late Quintin A. and Sallie (Stong) Klinger. She was the wife of the late Oliver Winfield Mosteller, who died on November 20, 2008.

Gladys was a schoolteacher in the Phoenixville School District, teaching both music and elementary education after graduating from the West Chester State Teachers College. She was a former member of Brownback’s UCC, where she was the choir director. Gladys was an award-winning quilter. Her quilted and needlework items are cherished by family and friends.

In retirement, she and her late husband moved to Central Florida where they lived for 14 years before returning to Pennsylvania. Family and friends would head south to visit over the years; frequent trips to Disney World provided a lifetime of memories.

Surviving is a daughter, Barbara M. (Steve) Guy of Pottstown, four sons, Chester Q. (Janet) Mosteller of Wyomissing, Kenneth O. (Susan) Mosteller of Louisville, KY, Arthur G. (Lynn) Mosteller of Vienna, VA and Edgar D. (Joan) Mosteller of Wrightstown, Pa. There are also 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on February 15, 2020 in the Tel Hai Chapel at 11:00 AM with visitation prior to the service at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private at St. Matthews Lutheran Cemetery in Chester Springs.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Gladys to the Tel Hai Care Assurance Fund, PO Box 190, Honey Brook, Pa. 19344-0190.

Sorry for your loss. So nice to read about her quilting, choir directing, and family visits in FL. A piece of her will live on in all the children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
