Martin J. "Marty" Ventrone

Martin J. “Marty” Ventrone, 62 years of Honey Brook, died suddenly on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at his home.

He was born on Tuesday, February 4, 1958 in Pittsburgh.  Marty was the son of the late James M. and Elva l. (Womboldt) Ventrone.  He was the husband of Beth A. (Curry) Ventrone, with whom he shared 9 years of marriage.

Marty was a case manager for the homeless veterans at the Coatesville VAMC.  He was a USMC veteran, serving as an aircraft mechanic.  Marty was a member of the Honey Brook Presbyterian Church.  His relationship with Jesus was the number one priority in his life.  Marty loved his country and was proud to be an American.  He enjoyed studying the Bible, gardening, music, nature and time spent with his beloved family.

Marty was preceded in death by his brother, Robert A. Ventrone in 1990.

He is survived by four children, Brian A. (Katie) Truesdale, Corinne L. Truesdale, Shane D. Truesdale, and Spencer C. (Hilary) Truesdale, four brothers, James M. Ventrone, Joseph A. Ventrone, John M. Ventrone, and Michael A. Ventrone, and three sisters, Allannah E. Dudash, Cheryl D. Byrnes and Catherine P. Butschek.  Also, by a granddaughter, Elliott Bethany Truesdale.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11 AM from Honey Brook Presbyterian Church, 4331 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook, Pa., with Rev. William J. Wisneski officiating.   The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM at the church.  A private interment will be held at the Honey Brook Presbyterian Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Marty to the Honey Brook Presbyterian Church, PO Box 276, Honey Brook, Pa.  19344-0276.

Marty was a close pal when he was in Georgia. Though I hate heis gone from this world, I’m glad to know he had made such a wonderful life for himself and for the Lord in PA

I am saddened to hear of Marties passing. I grew up with Marty and he came back in my life for a short time when he visited Pittsburgh. The first thing he wanted to do is join a Sport filled church. He will always be in my heart a d prayers.
