Robert L. Scott, Jr.

Robert “Bob” L. Scott, Jr., 62, of Honey Brook passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at home, surrounded in love with his family, after a heroic battle with cancer.  He was the beloved husband of Karen M. Walter Scott, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage.

Born in West Chester, PA, Bob was the son of Robert and Frances Mercer Scott (deceased).  He graduated from Henderson Senior High School in 1977.  Bob enjoyed house painting and started his own painting business, Scott Painting, in 1986 which he proudly worked for 25+ years until a back injury caused him to hang up his paint brush permanently.  In those 25+ years, Bob’s workmanship and professionalism afforded him many, many satisfied customers.

Bob was an avid sports fan and loved his Philadelphia sports teams.  He enjoyed playing any kind of sport but his passion was shooting pool.  He was a 17-year member of the Chester County APA Pool League, which his wife and children are also members of.  Bob’s “finesse” on the pool table was admired by many, copied by few.

Along with his wife and father, Bob is survived by his two loving children, Rob (Barbi) and Sara (Brian), whom he loved more than anything.  He is also survived by two grandchildren, Eddie and Lisa, many nieces, nephews, cousins and brothers and sisters-in-laws, whom he all loved very much.

Bob was known for his quick wit, enormous heart and his fiercely competitive spirit.  He worked hard, played hard, loved hard and was loved by many.  He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Bob to Esophageal Cancer Awareness at www.ecaware.org/give/donate/
