Thelma E. Hufnal

Thelma E. Hufnal, 91 yrs., of Narvon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at the Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center, following an illness.

She was born in Chester, Pa. on December 16, 1929. Thelma was the daughter of the late George E. & Margaret A. (Lawler) Reeder.

Thelma was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, John M. (Jack) Hufnal, who died on March 2, 2006, and her son John M. Hufnal, Jr. Thelma is also reunited with her precious dog Ginger, who was her faithful companion in the final years of her life.

A homemaker, Thelma took great pride in her family, especially in her role as a grandmother. She cared deeply for children and she and her husband were foster parents for many years. Thelma and Jack travelled the world in retirement and Jack proudly encouraged her to share her gift of song wherever they went.

A member of Twin Valley Bible Chapel, Thelma was a woman of strong faith and was devoted to her church family. In her final years, she brought her ministry to the residents of Zerbe Retirement Community, sharing her faith, her song, and the company of her dear Ginger.

She is survived her daughter, Carol A. Hughes of Powder Springs, Georgia, her son, William J. Hufnal of St. George, Utah, and her sister, Kay Inlow of Johnson City, Tennessee. Her six grandchildren are blessed with wonderful memories of their grandmother and Thelma experienced the joy of welcoming five great grandchildren.

A private interment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

So sorry Carol and Billy on the loss of your mother. I have fond memories of Thelma as my nexttdoor neighbor through my entire childhood. She was such a kind neighbor. With her strong faith I am sure God welcomed her and loved being reunited with Jack and John. God Bless all of your families!

Aunt Thelma was my closest aunt. When I was younger I enjoyed visiting her, Uncle Jack, Carol, Jackie, and Billy. I send my deepest sympathy to all of her family. With Love, Cookie and CeeCee

Lauren & Family, Just wanted to send our love to you all. Aunt Thelma surely left her mark here on this earth. She did shine her light for others. I have many good memories of her and my Mommom (Helen Fedena)and their same laugh. She will be missed here for sure. I know she is very happy seeing so many when she opened her eyes in heaven.
