Phoebe H. Folta, 78 yrs., died Saturday, March 27, 2021, surround by her family at the TowerHealth/Reading Hospital and Medical Center, following an illness.

She was born in Philadelphia on April 27, 1942. Phoebe was the daughter of the late James A. and Helen L. (Evans) Rubright. She was the loving wife of Kenneth D. Folta, Commander US Navy Retired, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage.

Phoebe was a homemaker to her beloved family. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church of Geigertown, where she sang in the church choir. Phoebe was a woman of strong faith and devotion. She loved being a mother and grandmother and enjoyed every second being a part of their lives.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, is her son, Greg D. and his wife Karen Folta of Ann Arbor, MI, a daughter, Kimberly N. and her husband Scott Beers of Flemington, NJ, a brother, James A. Rubright, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, and a sister, Janet Bennett of Sunrise, FL. There are three grandchildren, Joshua Beers, Heather Beers and Matthew Folta.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 10 AM from St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1136 Geigertown Road, Geigertown, Pa., with Pastor Jean Howe officiating. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 PM at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in St. Clair, Pa. There will be no calling hour or funeral home service. Attendees are reminded of the COVID-19 pandemic guidelines and are kindly asked to wear a mask and observe physical distancing.

Memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Phoebe to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, PO Box 6, Geigertown, Pa. 19523-0006.
