Ernest C. Moore, 88 years, formerly of Elverson, died on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Elmcroft Senior Living of Reading.
He was born on April 10, 1933 in Cumru Twp., Berks Co., Pa. Ernest was the son of the late Paul and Elizabeth (Strock) Moore. He was the husband of the late Pauline V. (Welsh) Moore, who died in 2009.
Ernest was employed with Firestone Tire and Occidental Chemical Company of Pottstown. He served in the US Army, during the Korean War. Ernest was a life member of the American Legion Post # 547 of Morgantown, with 55 years of membership. He was also a member of the former Odd Fellows Lodge of Morgantown. He enjoyed photography and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Moore in 2001.
Surviving is a son, Randy (Joan) Moore of Reading and a daughter, Sharon (Paul) Nunemaker of Elverson. There are eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A private interment at the convenience of the family will be held at the Caernarvon Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be held later, due to the current Covid virus restrictions.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial act of kindness is for parents to hug their children and for children to hug their parents in the memory of Ernest C. Moore.
