Beverly J. Simmons, 89 yrs, of Narvon, died Thursday, May 27, 2021 at her home, while under the loving care of her family and hospice.
She was born in Coatesville on Feb. 28, 1932. Beverly was the daughter of the late Helen (Johnson) Bartels and the stepdaughter of the late Philip H. Bartels. She was the wife of the late Theodore H. Simmons, Sr. on March 29, 2015.
Beverly was a homemaker to her beloved family. She worked for the Besty Ross Candy Company of Paoli, the Camby Oil Company of Downingtown, and National Liberty Insurance. Beverly was a member of the St. John’s Center Lutheran Church, where she volunteered at the concession stand for Music in The Grove. She was a member of TOPS and held the positions of recorder and treasurer. Anyone that knew Beverly, will remember her as a people person and loved to have conversations.
She is survived by her son, Theodore H. Jr. and his wife Elaine Simmons of Narvon, two daughters, Deborah and her husband Kevin Doorey of Downingtown and Christine and her husband Glenn Weidenheimer of Mohnton. There are 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 11 AM from St. John’s Center Lutheran Church, 599 Reading Road, East Earl, Pa., with Pastor Tom Darr officiating. Interment will follow at the Centre Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
