George J. Lanz, 93 of Narvon, passed away on December 23, 2021 at the Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 20, 1928 to George and Ella (Silvers) Lanz.
George was a supervisor at the former Diamond Glass Company (Anchor Glass Container) and Graco Childrens Products until his retirement. He proudly served his country from 1950-1952 during the Korean War. George loved to travel and be ‘out of the cold’ in Florida during the winter with friends. He also loved the Phillies and was thrilled to finally see them win a World Series.
George was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Hazel (Ayres), his daughter Pamela S. Trunk and his 6 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son, Dwayne (Karin) Lanz of Reading, PA and 5 grandchildren, Danielle, Elliot, Grant, Drake, and Ellie.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 15 at 2:00 from Twin Valley Bible Chapel, 105 Shirktown Rd, Narvon, PA with Pastor Bill Muller officiating. Internment will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:00, prior to the service.
