Catherine E. Walter

Catherine E. Walter, 78 years, of South Daytona, FL, died on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Halifax Health and Hospice of Port Orange.

She was born in West Chester, PA on Saturday, June 12, 1943. Catherine was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Moore) Earnshaw. She was the wife of J. Leslie Walter.

Catherine worked in the kitchen of the Wernersville State Hospital, Wernersville, PA. Catherine enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed listening to music and was especially fond of the version of the Gospel standard, “How Great Thou Art”, as recorded by Elvis Presley.

In addition to her husband, Catherine is survived by a son, Michael James Walter of Gibraltar, PA and two daughters, Vickie O’Neill of Ephrata, PA, and Cory Sue Walter of Marathon, FL. Catherine is also survived by her brother, William Earnshaw of Wilmington, DE, and had four grandchildren as well as seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022, at 10:30 AM at The Labs Funeral Home, Inc, 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, PA with John Greenman officiating. A calling hour will be held at The Labs Funeral Home from 9:30AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fleetwood, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Catherine to Lions Club International.
