Donald Joe Combs, 85, of Honey Brook, PA., passed peacefully at home on Monday, January 24, 2022.
Joe is survived by his wife Ruthann Carter of 63 years and five children, Debbie (Mike) Bird of Narvon PA, Judy (Jerry) Ink of Terre Hill PA, Mark (Julie) Combs of Elverson PA, Suzie (Chris Evans) Jensen of Honey Brook PA, and Bob (Kim) Combs of Narvon PA. He and Ruthann have nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Joe was born in the coal regions of West Virginia near Beckley/Layland. He later moved to Delaware where he met Ruthann and started his family. The family moved to Honey Brook PA in 1974 and has remained since. Joe retired from LNP Plastics in Thorndale PA.
Joe enjoyed many hobbies over the years including racing snowmobiles and trikes, he was an avid outdoorsman, and in retirement golf became a passion. Above all else Joe was a steadfast family man, dedicated to his wife and children who will miss him greatly.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2 PM from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa., with Fr. Kim Geiser officiating. The family will receive friends staring at 1 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
