Ellen (Hadfield) Pyle, 94 yrs., Honey Brook, died on Monday, November 14, 2022 at the Meadows Healthcare Center at the Tel Hai Retirement Community, following an illness.
She was born in New Jersey on June 29, 1928. Ellen was the daughter of the late George and Marion Hadfield. She was the wife of the late Gilbert E. Pyle, who died on Wednesday, September 7, 2022.
Ellen was a laboratory technician at Wyeth Labs. Later she was a school bus driver for Krapf Bus Company. She was a member of the Weavers Guild and enjoyed knitting and needlework projects.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gilbert L. “Linc” Pyle.
Surviving is a son, James (Lois) Pyle of Colonial Heights, Va. and two sisters, Joan Howett and Kathline Miller both of Honey Brook. There are three granddaughters and three great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at the East Brandywine Baptist Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Ellen to the Tel Hai Care Assurance Fund, PO Box 190, Honey Brook Pa. 19344-0190.
