Edward T. “Ed’ Weir, 57 years old of Oxford, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023, at his home, while under the loving care of hospice and his beloved family.
He was born on Friday, September 3, 1965 in West Chester. Edward was the son of the late Edward and Helen (Cairns) Weir. He was the husband of Judith M. “Judy” (Reardon) Weir, with whom he shared 16 years of marriage.
He was employed as a medical equipment repairperson and prior to that worked at Dopaco of Downingtown for 20 years. Ed loved fishing and spending time with his family. He missed his beloved dog, Wolfie, who died prior to his death. Ed was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ronda Belloma.
Ed is survived by a son, Brandon Weir of Virginia, a daughter, Ashley Weir of Bethlehem, a stepson, Michael Burkey of Christiana, two stepdaughters, Alicia Caldwell of Port Deposit & Ashley Burkey of Oxford, a brother, John Murray of Coatesville, four sisters, Darlene DiClemente of Lancaster, Barbara Martz of Coatesville, Rosemary Keen of Fleetwood and Roslyn Bolden of Honey Brook. There are four grandchildren, Hannah, Lucas, Hailey and Jacqueline.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 11 AM at The Labs Funeral Home, Inc. 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa. Interment will follow at St. John’s Episcopal Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home.
