Carl Phillip Brown, Jr.

Carl Phillip Brown, Jr., 89 years, Morgantown, died peacefully on November 6, 2023, at Doylestown Hospital, while under the loving care of his family.

He was born in Phoenixville, Pa. on October 25, 1934. He grew up in the Phoenixville area. Carl was the son of the late Carl P. Brown, Sr. and Carrie Brown. He served his country for three years in Marine Corps, he was stationed in Camp Lejeune. He married Martha Brown after a short courtship of four months. They met after Carl pulled her over for speeding and it was a whirlwind from there. They shared 55 years of marriage.

Carl served 32 years in the Tredyffrin Township Police department. He retired as a Lieutenant in 1991.

He was a devoted husband, loving dad to his two sons, and a doting grandfather to 12.

He was an active member of the Brick Lane Community Church. He enjoyed watching Philadelphia sports teams, hunting, taking trips with his late wife Martha, spending time with his family, a good meal, and his routine breakfasts with his close friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Brown, and his wife, Martha Brown.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 11 AM at the Brick Lane Community Church, 52 South Brick Lane, Elverson, Pa., with Pastor Al Kimball officiating.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
