Raymond B. “Ray” Horst, Jr., 86 years of Brandamore, died on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the home of his son, while under the loving care of his family and hospice.
He was born in Lancaster, Pa. on Saturday, June 5, 1937. Ray was the son of the late Raymond B. Horst, Sr. and Lois (Burtnett) Horst. He was the husband of the late Erma L. (Hornberger) Horst, who died in 2021.
Ray was a lifetime truck driver. His last employment was with Zook Molasses of Honey Brook. He enjoyed traveling and collecting American Indian Artifacts. Ray was a member of the Teamsters Union.
He was preceded in death by his son, Terrence Horst and a brother, Ronald Horst.
Surviving are two sons, Trent and his wife Melissa Horst of Birdsboro and Timothy and his wife Tamyra Horst of Bernville, a daughter, Tricia and her husband Glenn Lehman of Lititz and a sister, Roberta and her husband Ray Marciniszyn of Charlotte, NC. There are seven grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at the Riverview Cemetery in Lancaster at a later date.
