John R. Witlin, 87 years of Audubon, died surrounded by his family on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center, while under hospice care.
He was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on Sunday, January 31, 1937. John was the son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Charney) Witlin. He was the husband of the late Helen (Pordan) Witlin.
He retired as the owner of Prestige Fencing of Montgomeryville. John was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church of Ambler and the Cedarbrook Country Club of Blue Bell. He enjoyed golfing and equestrian/horse events.
John was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Witlin.
Surviving is a son, Jack J. and his wife Jodi Witlin of Norristown, a daughter, Roberta and her husband David Rotelle of Honey Brook, a stepson, Charles Bowden and his wife Amanda Schrik of Norristown, a stepdaughter, Elizabeth Witlin-Roberts of Ambler and a brother, William Witlin of New Jersey. There are five grandchildren, five step grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The calling hour will begin at 10 AM on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at The Labs Funeral Home, Inc. 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa. A brief service will follow the calling hour. A graveside service will be held at 1 PM at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Cemetery in Ambler, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of John to Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center Sunshine Fund, 2499 Zerbe Road, Narvon, Pa. 17555.
