Barbara S. Swarcheck

Barbara S. Swarcheck, 76 years old of Elverson, PA, died on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at home.

She was born in Middletown Springs, VT on Friday, April 2, 1948, and was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Lincoln) Schenker. She was the wife of Stephen Swarcheck and was married for 55 years.

Barbara was a member of the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, West Brandywine, PA. Barbara served her church by her volunteer work at various church functions, was a PREP teacher for over 10 years and for many years helped with bible camp.

She was a Girl Scout leader and also volunteered with the Boy Scouts. For the last 10+ years she worked at the “Reusit Shop” in Morgantown.

Barbara worked at National Liberty, the district court in Honey Brook and as a Realtor. Most of all her favorite job was taking care of our family and baby siting our grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Stephen, Barbara is survived by two children, Keith Swarcheck of Naples, FL and Denise Fowler of Honey Brook, PA. Five grandchildren William and Erin Fowler, Kaitlyn, Karleigh and Madisyn Swarcheck, and two great grandchildren Hunter and Liam Fowler.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Saturday, June 1, 2024,

at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 2835 Manor Road, West Brandywine, PA 19320. Entombment will follow at the All-Souls Cemetery in West Brandywine, PA. In addition, a calling hour will precede the Mass from 9:30AM to 10:50 AM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Barbara for her Memorial Plaque at St. Peter church. Please make checks out to Stephen Swarcheck C/O Barbara Swarcheck Memorial Plaque, at 607 Homestead drive, Elverson, PA 19520

I grew up calling her Sue. We were cousins. I will truly miss talking with her weekly. She left us to early. But, she is in God's hands now.Will for ever hold you in my heart. Love and miss you Susie forever and always. Pat.
