John  Demko, III

John Demko, III., 73 yrs. of Honey Brook, entered the Gates of Heaven on Friday, May 24, 2024, following an illness.

John was born in Delaware County, Pa. on Wednesday, July 5, 1950. He was the son of the late John Demko II. and Lillian (Eckles) Demko.

John was a retired steel worker for the former Lukens Steel of Coatesville. He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church and Wyebrook Baptist Church. John loved his Lord and Savior and was a lay speaker in his church and his community. He was a member of the Penn Dutch Gun Club and the Sinnemahoning Sportsman Association in Cameron County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.

John was preceded in death by a son, John Demko IV, a sister, Patricia Johnson and two brothers, William Demko and Michael Demko.

He is survived by a son, Stephen Demko of New Holland, two daughters, Christina Creswell of New Holland and Shirl Diem and two sisters, Anetta Gay of Emmaus and Lillian Demko of New York There are seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 11 AM from the Gateway Baptist Church, 143 Suplee Road, Honey Brook, Pa. with Pastor Walter E. “Poke” Shuler, IV officiating. Interment will follow at Petra Church Cemetery. A calling hour will be held one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of John to the Gateway Baptist Church, PO Box 339, Honey Brook, Pa. 19344-0339.
