Andrew James "Jim" Dillow

Andrew James “Jim” Dillow, 77, of Honey Brook died on Friday, April 11, 2025, at his home, while under the loving care of his family and hospice.

He was born in Coatesville, Pa. on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 1947. Jim was the son of the late Robert Andrew and Lottie (Lockhart) Dillow. He was the husband of Eileen M. (Reber) Dillow, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.

Jim was raised on the King Ranch, where he was a cowboy until he could drive, then drove truck for the ranch. He was a graduate of the Unionville High School, class of 1965 and the General Motors Corporation training school in 1966.

Jim enlisted in the US Army as a track and wheel mechanic, lucky enough to be a driver for the post commander, until he was sent to Vietnam. When at home on leave, he met his future wife, Eileen on a blind date and was married 10 months later.

After his US Army discharge, he worked for Reber and Miller as a mechanic, later retiring after 39 years of employment with RV Industries of Honey Brook.

Jim was an active member of the Honey Brook Presbyterian Church, holding many positions within the church. He was a past master of the Howell Lodge # 405, F&AM and was a member of the New Holland VFW Post # 7362.

Jim did not back down from a challenge when it came to repairing or assembling something, there wasn’t much that he wouldn’t tackle. He loved his in-laws, the late Walter and Stella Reber and took care of both of them when they became dependent on support.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William Dillow.

Jim is survived in addition to his wife, by a daughter Dawn Marie married to Alex Wilson of Stewartstown, Pa., a sister, Jane Longabaugh, two brothers, Rocky and his wife Joan Dillow and Douglas and his wife Jen Dillow.

To the Family and Friends of Jim Dillow, I was deeply saddened to hear of Jim’s passing. I had the honor of working with him at R-V Industries for 32 years, until his retirement in 2015. He was not only a dedicated coworker but a genuinely kind and thoughtful person. Just this past weekend, my wife and I were reminiscing about Jim — especially the times he shared his scrapple and sausage recipes with us, along with his gardening wisdom. Those small moments have stayed with us over the years. We will always think of Jim with great fondness, and we’ll continue to honor his memory in our home and hearts. He was a true friend, and his legacy will live on through all who had the privilege of knowing him. With deepest sympathy,

My deepest condolences to my friend Dillow's family. We were friends ever since I met Dillow at R-V Industries back in 2001. Every Christmas time I'd visit his house and see him since he retired. We had good conversation every time we saw each other. I will miss him dearly, very much. God bless, rest in peace.

My Deepest Condolences to the Dillow Family with Love. I met Jim in 2007 at RV Ind. and became very good friends. Jim taught me a lot about giving and asking for nothing in return. Jim, Eileen and their family excepted me as part of their family, playing games and have dinner together. They all are a very blessed family, and I will miss Jim a lot. Rest in peace My Friend.
