Joseph L. McGraw, PhD., 90 years of age, of Honey Brook, formerly of St. Davids and Philadelphia, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Tel Hai Retirement Community.
Joseph was born on Tuesday, July 30, 1935 in Philadelphia and was the son of the late Thomas E. and Cathrine (Crooks) McGraw. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara N. (Nash) McGraw, granddaughter, Kelly Rae Selvey, son-in-law, Jorge Gonzalez, and siblings, Edward McGraw, Catherine (McGraw) Capella, & John McGraw.
Joseph is survived by his three daughters, Wendy L. Brooks, Pamela Vasquez, Tracy Gonzalez, a brother & sister-in-law, Thomas and Harriet (Doroshow) McGraw, four grandchildren, Ryan & Justin Brooks, Ashley Gonzalez, and Jessica Weisman, and a niece & several nephews.
Joseph was a retired university administrator of Eastern University, in St, Davids Pennsylvania. He served in the USNR from 1952 to 1959 and in the USMCR from 1959 to 1962. He was a member of the Church of the Savior in Wayne. Joseph loved spending time with his family & friends, traveling the world, supporting numerous charities and Christian camping organizations, and honing his sharpshooter skills.
The family will have a private interment at the Northwood Cemetery in Philadelphia, PA. They would very much like to hear your memories and stories of Joseph via note, card, or photo.
