Richard L. Strausser, 80 yrs. of Birdsboro, died on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the Sinking Spring Nursing Center, following an illness.
He was born in Williamstown, Pa. on Thursday, October 4, 1945. Richard was the son of the late Victor and Maude Strausser. Richard was the husband of Mary Lou (Henly) Strausser, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage.
He was employed at the former Grace Mines in Morgantown and later Bethlehem Steel in Steelton. Richard also worked at the Morgantown Walmart in retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Richard was preceded in death by a son, Richard Jason Strausser and 8 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his son, Robert V., and his wife Amy Strausser of Birdsboro and two grandchildren, Hannah K. Strausser and Luke R. Strausser.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 11 AM from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa. Interment will be private at the Mohler Cemetery in Ephrata. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 at the funeral home.
