James O. "Jay" Griffin

James O. “Jay” Griffin, Jr., 66 years of Glenmoore, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the Hickory House Nursing Home, following a long-term illness.

He was born in Philadelphia on Tuesday, November 24, 1959. Jay was the son of the late James O. Griffin, Sr. and Elayne M. (Callahan) Griffin. Jay grew-up in Northeast Philadelphia and also lived in Abington and Huntingdon Valley. He was the office administrator of the family business, Griffin Brothers, Inc. He was an active participant of the Knights of Columbus in Huntingdon Valley. In addition, he was a volunteer at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, winning the Volunteer of the Year award. Jay also volunteered at the Upper Dublin Township Public library. Jay loved cats and being with family.

Surviving family includes his brother Glenn A. Griffin, his sister-in-law Robin Ann (King) Griffin, and nephews Sean Evan Griffin (Susan) and Devin Patrick Griffin (Grace).

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 11 AM from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa. A calling time will be held one hour prior to the service. A private family interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Jay to the Pennsylvania SPCA.
