Galen Howard “Moose” Miller, 90 years of Honey Brook, passed away peacefully, with his son by his side, on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the Meadows Healthcare Center at The Tel Hai Retirement Community.
He was born in Coatesville on Sunday, April 14, 1935. Moose was the son of the late Wilmer and Ida (Sagner) Miller. He was the husband of the late Josephine M. (Dickle) Miller, who died on August 8, 2022.
He was employed as a maintenance man working for a local paper mill. Moose was a lifetime member of the Honey Brook Fire Company and member of the Patriots of the Order of Sun. He was a well-known baseball player and inducted into the Chester County Sportsman’s Hall of Fame
Moose was preceded in death by his daughter, Vicki Lyn Weller and 12 brothers and sisters.
Surviving is a son, G. Scott and his wife Tamme Miller of Narvon, a sister, Emma White of Morgantown and a grandson, Douglas Scott and his wife Katie Miller of Narvon.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 11 AM at the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Cemetery, 1040 Chestnut Tree Road, Honey Brook, Pa., with Pastor David Klingensmith officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Moose to the Tel Hai Care Assurance Fund, PO Box 190, Honey Brook, Pa. 19344-0190.
