William “Bill” Daniel Ellis Westinghouse, III, 85, of Honey Brook, formerly of Washington, DC, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2026.
Born on Saturday, June 22, 1940, in New York City. William was the son of the late William Daniel Ellis Westinghouse, II and Ruth Ann (March) Westinghouse. He was the husband of Carol Jane (Stewart) Westinghouse, who died from Covid complications on December 1, 2020.
William was raised in NYC and attended the public school system. He was a graduate of Syracuse University with his B.S and M.S in Economics and his PhD in Economics from Warton School of at the University of Penn. William retired from Georgetown University, where he was head of the Business Science Department of the University. He was an author and appeared on TV news channels, as a guest expert of business, markets and economics. William held many club memberships and was active in his local community and church.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister and all his immediate family members.
Surviving is his only great niece, Lori Mae (Stewart)and her husband William James Watkins of Great Valley.
A private service and interment will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026 as per the request of William.
William’s wish was to join his beloved wife in heaven and celebrate their reunion together. He called for his wife, just prior to taking his last earthly breath. We are sure they are both happy and rejoicing in the days to come.
