Elsie M. Decker, 91 yrs. of Honey Brook, died on Monday, March 30, 2026 at her home, while under the loving care of hospice, her family, and her caregiver Shannon Griffin. Elsie was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed baking and working in flower gardens.
She was born in Upper Macungie, Lehigh County on Saturday, December 1, 1934. Elsie was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Winkelbauer) Temmel. She was the wife of the late Robert P. Decker, Sr., who died on May 21, 2000 and the mother of Nancy who died on September 14, 2019. She was preceded in death by her two brothers and eight sisters.
Elsie is survived by her son, Robert P. Decker, Jr. and his wife Amy Anderson of Honey Brook, her brother Robert “Bob” Temmel of North Carolina, her granddaughter Melissa Decker Alifanz, and two great granddaughters Emalene and Rebekah.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 at 2 PM, at the Elverson United Methodist Church, 32 East Main Street, Elverson, PA, with Pastor Coleen Brandt Painter officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private.
